From her sisters

Before Inês marries Tomás in June, we want one late morning with the women who love her, a brush in every hand.

Each of us will paint a single tile. Fired in the atelier’s kiln, they will be set as one panel in her new kitchen, so that every morning of her married life begins with us.

11:00 amCoffee at the long benchPastéis de nata, still warm from the bakery on the corner.
11:30 amBrushes upThe atelier’s painters show us the strokes, then a tile each, for Inês.
1:00 pmLunch on the terraceAbove the rooftops and the Tagus: grilled fish, salads, fresh lemonade.
2:30 pmGifts, and the kilnWe open her gifts while our tiles go into the fire.

Inês and Tomás keep a short list at Casa Arquivo in Chiado: things for the kitchen and the table. If you’d like to bring something, start there. Your tile is already a gift.

Paint your tile

Choose a motif, write her a wish and sign it, then send it to the kiln. Kindly reply by Saturday 27 March.
