Every midsummer begins the same way. Help us raise the pole.

Together with their families
invite you to their wedding on Midsummer Day

Välkomna!

Five summers ago, at the midsummer dance in Leksand, a stranger took Ebba’s hand for the little frogs. Linus still can’t do the hops. She is marrying him anyway.
On Siljan in late June the sun only slips behind the hills for a few hours, and the sky never goes dark. This is how we’ll spend it.
On the grass by the water. Find a seat on the hay bales.
Everyone takes a rope. It goes up on the third heave.
Rings of dancers round the pole. No one is too old, and no one is excused.
6:30 pmDinner in the old hay barn: herring, new potatoes and the first strawberries.
The sun touches the hills and stays there. We row out into the light.
1:00 amOn the walk back, pick seven kinds and sleep with them under your pillow. Dreams are promised.
For anyone still dancing.

Direct trains run from Stockholm Central to Tällberg in under four hours. We’ll meet every train on Saturday morning.

We’ve held rooms at Åkerblads and at the Dalecarlia up the hill. Mention our names when you book, before 1 May.

A little bus runs between the inns and the meadow all day and all night. Nobody needs a car.
Summer white and meadow colours, light and modest.
Flower crowns wait at the gate
Wool for the boats at midnightEveryone rows at midsummer. Tell us by 1 May 2027 and we’ll paint your name on a blade.

Glad midsommar!
The sun won’t set on us. See you in the light.
Ebba & Linus
