invite you to celebrate their marriage

أهلاً بكم في ليلتنا
On a November evening in a garden on the Nile, we are getting married — and the only thing the night is missing is you.
Come early, stay late, and let the evening carry you.
— Omar & Nadine
Chapter by chapter
كيف وصلنا إلى هنا
Nadine was looking for a coppersmith; Omar was lost with a camera and no map. They argued about directions for twenty minutes and were both wrong.

The same table at the same Zamalek ahwa, tea going cold twice a night, and the Nile sliding past behind us. We learned each other's silences there — and both families learned each other's names.
Omar had a speech ready and forgot every word of it. Nadine said yes while the boatman pretended, very badly, not to be listening.

A palace garden, a thousand lanterns, and the people who got us here. That is the whole plan — and it is our favourite one yet.
From dusk till dawn
برنامج الليلة
The gates open onto the garden. Take a glass of hibiscus, find your name on the lantern wall, and wander down to the water.
Short, warm and exactly on time — please be seated by 19:15. Twenty minutes later we will be married.
Drums, mizmar and far too many candles come up the terrace steps. Do not stand politely at the side — you will be pulled in.
Long tables by the Nile: mezze, lamb from the fire, and a dessert table that has been the subject of serious family negotiation.
The band gives way to the DJ, the tea comes out around one, and nobody is in a hurry to leave.

مكان الاحتفال

Cairo Marriott Hotel
16 Saray El Gezira St, Zamalek, Cairo 11519, EgyptA nineteenth-century palace with its garden running down to the river. Valet parking at the Corniche gate; ride-hailing drops at the same door. The ceremony is on the lower terrace — flat, step-free, and lit all the way.
Dress for lantern light
الزي المقترح
Formal, and please be bold about it — this is a night for deep colour, for silk, for something that catches lantern light. The terrace is stone and the garden is grass, so keep heels sensible. White is the bride's.
Tap a colour to see it properly. These are the tones the tables and the lanterns are set in — wear one and you will look like you belong to the night.
Small print, warmly meant
ملاحظات صغيرة
الدعوة للكبار فقط
We adore your children — and we would love you to have the night off. The celebration is adults-only; we can recommend sitters near the hotel.
خدمة صف السيارات
Hand your keys at the main gate — it is free, and it saves circling Garden City. Ride-hailing drops and collects at the same door all night.
الرجاء الجلوس قبل السابعة والربع
The katb el-kitab starts at 19:30 sharp and the terrace doors close for it. Come at seven, take a drink, and settle in — you will not want to miss the start.
